1 / The Satellite

Downlink Frequencies : 12430 V,
Symbol rate : 20000 , FEC : 3/4
Uplink Provider : TAS
Channels : Pacific Tv 1, Tv 2 (Vietnamese) and Da-Ai Tv. (Taiwanese)


2 / Site selection.

Where the dish will be located. This involves finding a position with a clear view of the satellite. A dish must have a clear line-of sight view, Also, ensure that no large trees, building, etc.,



3 / Installing your of KU Dish system.

a / Dish mounting.
The small DTH dish can be supported on roofs, partygoers, balconies, on external wall, and on pole mount. The mounting chosen should be rigid and structurally sound as well as safe.

b / Positioning the mount

In consultation with the householder, choose a non hazardous location and give enough room to work comfortably.




c / Assemble the Dish.




d / Fixing LNBF
Use only RG-6 coax cable, Install an F-connector on the cable end, screw it onto LNBF, waterproof this connection.
Cable routes from the dish and run it into the indoors satellite receiver, should be to keep cable runs as short as possible.


4 / Look angle table : Asia Sat-- 4. ( all angles in Degrees )

It would be found the azimuth by compass heading and then by aiming up to an elevation. The Az & El settings are the same for installation anywhere in the same town / city.



5 / System connection.

Check that all wires are connected correctly.
AV cable connect to receiver AV output and to the TV's AV input.



6 / Align the Dish.

Carefully set the azimuth and elevation declination angles, align the dish to the arc of satellite.
Fine tune the alignment of the dish to optimize signal reception.
When the correct elevation and azimuth angle is found, check to ensure that no objects are blocking a clear view to the satellite.

7 / Once the setup has been done.

Using the remote, sit back and enjoy the TV channels.


8 / Trouble shooting. ¡­

¡¡1. No picture.
Is receiver switch on ? Is TV on correct channel or on AV position ?
Did you check all cable connections ?

¡¡2. Picture, but no sound.
TV not fine tuned. Check for cable loose connections.

¡¡3. Receiver only tunes some channels.
Check your smart card is up-side down ?
Smart card not activation ?
Check to see that the satellite you are viewing has an active transponder.
Make sure that the "tune "voltage wire has not been switched with the LNBF cable.
This is a common problem.

¡¡4. Faint image.
Dish antenna not aligned properly ?
LNBF not centered ? Support arm not in position ?
Incorrect focal point ?
Problems with LNBF, Cable or Receiver ?
